Dr. Bonnie M. Borsa was elected in November 2002 to a 4-year term on the Board of Education to be served December 2002-2006. She holds bachelors and masters degrees in biology from Miami University of Ohio and a Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Dr. Borsa is a member of two scholastic honoraries, Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. Dr. Borsa was a scientist (senior staff fellow) at the National Cancer Institute at Fort Detrick and was an assistant professor of biology at Hood College. Her volunteer experience includes 7 years at Frederick County Public Schools, service as a school representative on the County PTA Council and co-chair of the PTSA Reflections program. She was a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee for redistricting Oakdale Elementary.
